Frequently Asked QUESTIONS & Answers – Emmanuel Orphanage Home
The Emmanuel Orphanage Home was established in November, 2012 by divine direction and guidance through the Spirit of God as Mandate to Dr. P.I.A Obaseki
Our children are between 0 to 15 years old.
Our home can care and accommodate up to50 children.
Our wish is to either reconcile or find suitable parents for our children early enough, but if the child’s individual situation makes adoption impossible, we will keep caring, educating, nurturing the child, until they are matured enough to lead an independent life.
All children that qualify for our care are placed in our home by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development.
The general public or the Police notify the Ministry of an abandoned, found, neglected or abused child.
We cater for all vulnerable, abused, neglected, and abandoned children.
Media stories and TV movies tend to present adopted children as alienated, unhappy or even criminals. The truth is that most adopted children grow up to be normal adults who blend in with everyone else in the society.
This home was founded by Pastor & Pastor (Mrs) P.I.A Obaseki.
We do not get any support from the government. However, we are supported by the Partners of Emmanuel Orphanage Home and other well meaning Nigerians.
The children all attend More Grace High School, Benin City, Edo State.
You can identify a child of your choice at the Emmanuel Orphanage Home and then sponsor his or her education.
All our children reside here in our home.
There are various ways that you can support us: through school sponsorship, by meeting one of our needs, by volunteering and by donation.
The Ministry of Youths and Social Development prohibits taking of pictures of the children.
Feeding of the children by visitors with items donated by them is prohibited.
Most of our caregivers reside in our home but go on off in turns.
